Work in Progress 2: Going on my first solo archetype journey

I embarked on my first solo archetype journey a few weeks ago and learned a lot in the process. Archetype #1 is the Temporal and Spiritual leader. I rented a studio space, set up the audio and my camera, and got to work. Here are some clips from the journey:

I’m glad I recorded the journey because as I continue the writing process I have been able to look back and gather inspiration. After I completed the journey I then took to journaling. The book contains exercises for reflection about the archetype that helped deepen my understanding of the experience. Here’s a small excerpt of those reflections:

Mantra: I Have A Right To Be Here…And I Have Nothing To Prove…I Am Who I Am

Life is joyful

The world is wide open

The universe is blessing us

Above all, I wish to care for others.

I’d like to build sanctuary with other people because we were created to care for each other

I fear I cannot really help anyone and it’s my fault

My nemesis is those who put their personal gain above the wellness of others

I respond to things I hate by meeting them with compassion

I love everyone

I hate, but try my best not to

The most powerful energy in the universe is the human spirit

I find regeneration by connect with those who seek to understand

My most important skills are my patience, my capacity for love, and my unwavering faith in humanity

A lot of this experience is helping to guide my writing and definitely my staging later. Having this center to return to is making things easier.
